This could cause some to refuse surgery if needed . How are communicable diseases transmitted to chidren in group settings. Diseases in a child-care setting can be transmitted by coughing, sneezing, tolieting contacts & contact with blood. Safety is.. Safety is freedom from risk, harm, and injury. The 3 aspects for safety for caregivers. Caregivers need to create a safe enviroment, teaching & modeling safe behaviors, & knowing what todo if there is an accident. The 5 common harzards for young children. These are burns,choking,falls,electricshock,drowning How to make indoor spaces appropraite for a child's age & abitliy. Need separate play area for infants, toddlers & older children, & cribs, beds high chairs should meet safety standards& all toys for play should be in good condition. Why are impactabsorbent surfaces crucial for child's playground. Playgrounds need impact-absorbent surfaces,since falls are the leading cause of injury. Factors needed for a child-staff ratios in child care setting. The ratio of adults to children varies with the ages & abilities of the children. 2 ways that caregivers may prepare for emergencies. First aid training & pratice fire drills. Use an example to explain what it means that nutrition, health,& safety are interrelated... A healthy diet makes a child more alert, stronger&bettercoordinated than a child with a poor diet. Healthy excercise promote proper bone growth and improves coordination. Safety affects nutrition and health. An example; an injured child may be more likely to become ill & if the injury if servere and interferes with good nutrition and other healthy activiites.
