Multiplying Mixed Numbers Mixed Numbers consist of an integer follow by a fraction. Simplifying Fractions Fractions may have numerators and denominators that are composite numbers (numbers that has more factors than 1 and itself). Prime and Composite Numbers A prime number is a whole number that only has two factors which are itself and one.A composite number has factors in addition to one and itself. Least Common Multiple The Least Common Multiple (LCM) is the smallest number that two or more numbers will divide into evenly. Greatest Common Factor The Greatest Common Factor (GCF) is the largest number that is a common factor of two or more numbers. Adding Fractions with Unlike Denominators Fractions with Different Denominators. Subtracting Fractions with Unlike Denominators Fractions with Different Denominators. What is Math? Mathematics How is the Way to Set Up a Fractions Make a Line & Above the Line is called the Numerator & Below the Line is called Denominator Mass The Amount of Matter in an object. Volume The Amount of Space that something takes up. Weight A Measure of the pull of gravity on an object. Dividend The number or quantity to be divided. Divisor The number by which the dividend is divided. Quotient The number obtained when one quantity is divided by another. Division Fact is a division equation in which the divisor and quotient are whole numbers not larger than 9. Long Division is a method of dividing numbers in which the work is written out. Short Division is a method of dividing numbers in which much of the work is done mentally. Remainder is any amount left over after a division operation has been completed. The remainder is always less than the divisor. True Define: net the pattern of a three dimensional figure laid out flat What is the formula for finding the volume of a cylinder? A cylinder has a round base and a given height. The area of the base must be found first, and then it can be multiplied by the height to give the volume of the cylinder. Variable A letter or Symbol that stands for a number.
