A Presentation A program that combines text editing with graphics to produce electronic versions of slide shows. Use of Presentation To enhance/make more interesting or improve the quality or captivate audiences who listens to the speech. Title Slide Introduces the slideshow (name of presentation and presenter and the date). Normal View The view in which you write and design your presentation. Presentation Plan Plan out your presentation using pen or pencil and paper before creating it on the computer. Slide Sorter View Allows you to see all of your slides in thumbnail form. Thumbnails Slides appear as small images of the presentation. Slide show view Takes up the full computer screen. Outline and Slides tab Left side of the window (slides in thumbnails). Slide Pane Right pane displaying large view of current slide. Notes pane At the bottom of a slide (notes that accompany a slide and may be printed but not visable during the slideshow. Animations Special visual and sound effects that are added to text or an object in a slideshow. Transitions This is the way in which a screen changes from one slide to another. Timing Animation and transition effects can occur at a click of the mouse or key, or preset time to run automatically. The use of Microsoft PowerPoint in making presentations.
