Primary Colors Red, Yellow, Blue, are the basic colors which cannot be mixed from any other colors. Secondary Colors Orange, Green, Purple, are made by mixing two primary colors together Intermediate Colors Mixed from a primary color and a secondary color, like Blue-Green. Warm colors Yellow, Red, and Orange which are placed together to create a “sunny” feeling. Cool Colors Blue, Green, and Purple which are placed together to create a “calm” feeling. Complementary Colors Opposites on the color wheel. Red/Green (strawberry), Orange/Blue (Mets), and Yellow/Purple (Lakers). Craftsmanship An artists whose work is consistently of high quality Portrait An artwork that shows the likeness of a person or group of people. Three-quarter view A portrait that shows the subject partly from the side. Self Portrait An artwork which shows the likeness of the artist. Full view An artwork that shows the subject from head to toe.
